Emotional Release Oil Blend

Essential oils are excellent at helping us with a myriad of emotional needs. That’s because our sense of smell is connected right to our limbic system of the brain.

The limbic system is responsible for memory, emotions, behavior and learning.

So when you smell an essential oil, it’s literally affecting the part of your brain that’s responsible for your feelings.

This then triggers your body to release specific chemicals and endorphins related to that particular feeling.

Scientists have even found that various parts of our brains become more active depending on which scents we’re smelling.

So this means that we can actually help our brains and bodies release various emotions and even reprogram our brains accordingly!

It’s all pretty cool if you ask me!

I’ve been working on releasing some emotions and came up with this blend to use. I suggest using this blend (or any oils) for emotional release, paired with some affirmations.

In a 5mL roller bottle mix:

11 drops Ylang Ylang

5 drops Cypress

New Orleans Roller Blend

New Orleans
Roller Blend

Cypress 10 drops

Cypress is good for meditation to help you visualize what you desire. Cypress also grows in New Orleans with the beautiful moss hanging from it. Granted, the cypress this Oil is from isn’t the same genus as what grows in New Orleans, but still.
Myrrh 8 drops

Myrrh is a very spiritual Oil, and one of the reasons I want to go to New Orleans is for the spirituality and religion. Myrrh is also a great Oil for money and prosperity. Gotta have that cash flow to make it on my trip!

Cedarwood 3 drops

Cedarwood is helpful when creating sacred spaces, and New Orleans is definitely a sacred space. Also helpful with abundance.

I mixed these oils in a 10ml roller bottle topped off with fractionated coconut oil and also added in black obsidian and amethyst crystal chips.

Black obsidian to ground my dreams into reality and amethyst for spirituality and because it’s basically awesome in everything.

I also added in some dried Spanish moss. When I think of New Orleans I always envision the Spanish moss hanging from the trees.

I’ll be using this oil daily, especially during visualization. Whether it’s closing my eyes and meditating on being in New Orleans or while browsing the internet looking at New Orleans while envisioning and really feeling myself there.

You could use this technique for any trip you want to go! Simply mix in oils that resonate with the location for you!

Easy Springtime Manifesting Ritual

Spring is all about new life! New endeavors and manifesting! Here’s a fun and easy ritual you can do for Ostara and the first day of spring! Even your kids can take part!

🌸 Take an egg (a symbol of fertility..seed..manifesting) and write on it what you are going to be manifesting in the coming months. Write it in the positive, like it’s already happening. For example, I am successful…not, I will be successful. Claim that dream!

🌸 Next, bury your egg outside (or in a pot) with seedlings or a new plant on top. And voila! Literally planting your fertility seed of manifestation!!

🌸I personally like to up the ante with essential oils. I breathe in the aroma while I hold the egg and visualize all my goals coming into fruition. Elevation to keep those vibes HIGH, Orange for success and confidence and creativity and patchouli for prosperity and a little grounding.

Happy Manifesting!

Chakra Balancing Spell

Can you balance your chakras with a spell? Heck ya you can! In today’s post (and video) I’ll share how you can release stagnant energy from your chakras and replace it with good, balanced energy. In the example I have today, I focused on the root chakra. But you can tweak this spell for use with any of your chakras. I have lots of info on the seven main chakras which you can read about here if you need ideas on which chakras to work with, which colors and oils to use, etc.

Chakra Balancing Spell

Something I’d like to address before we begin. As with anything, intention matters. You can’t just plop together these items and expect miraculous work without putting your energy of intent into it. I mean, you may get some results, but nothing amazing (in my opinion).

Lots of people use the tools of essential oils or crystals to help balance a chakra…paired with their intent and visualization. This is essentially the same thing. You’re just utilizing more tools and adding in more steps to make it all work. Crystals, colors, oils, words, intentions all have different vibrations. When you pair it all together, you create a powerful ball of energy to help you with what you’re working on.

What supplies do you need?

  • A black candle
  • A candle in the color of your chakra you’re working on (in this case I chose red for the root chakra)
  • A lighter or matches
  • Essential oil or conjure oil for banishing or releasing (I chose Clove)
  • Essential oil or conjure oil for balancing your chakra (I chose cedarwood for the root chakra)
  • Two small pieces of paper to write your intentions on. One for what you want to release and one for what you want to bring in.

I suggest these tools, but they aren’t required for the spell to work:

  • Candle holders if you need them
  • Smoky quartz for filtering out the stagnant or low vibe energy
  • A crystal for your chakra (I chose red jasper for the root chakra)
  • A “working” candle
  • Sage or palo santo to cleanse your space
  • Tarot cards
  • A large fireproof bowl or dish to burn your paper

How do you do the spell?

Check out my YouTube video below for a walk through of how to work this spell. Many Blessings!

All About Spiritual Dreams

How to effectively start a dream journal, how to remember more of your dreams, how to interpret your dreams, psychic dreams vs normal dreams, tools to help your dreaming and more!

♥What exactly are dreams?

We all dream. Whether you remember it or not, you still had a dream. So what exactly are dreams? Some people think that dreams are just our brains way of figuring out and sorting through the many thoughts that our brains have during the day. When we’re awake, it’s simply too much for our brains to process everything it’s taking in, so it does this processing when we sleep. While this is one scenario, I feel there are others to look at as well.

Another theory is that dreams are the way our subconscious mind works through things that our conscious mind tries to block out when awake. These may be yucky emotions or events that you don’t want to deal with, so you’ve pushed them to the back of your mind. Your brains wants to deal with these thoughts and feelings, it wants to process, so it does it at night while the conscious mind is asleep.

Dreams could also be a way for us to receive messages from our Higher Self, angels, spirits, etc. During the day our brains may be too busy to hear these messages, so we only get the messages to come through at night. It could also be that our conscious is too nervous or closed to let these messages in when awake, so it isn’t until our “guard” is down that we can take these messages in. During these dreams we may also receive visits from those who have passed on, our angels or our spirit guides.

Finally, and sort of connected to the previous theory, is that dreams are a way for us to tap into our psychic energies or other planes of existence. When this happens we may have visions of future events, past lives or events occurring on the other side of the earth.

I personally think that all of the above theories are correct. I believe we have many different types of dreams and each dream could fit into one of the above categories.

♥How can you tell if you’re having a visitation dream, a psychic dream or a normal dream?

The simple answer? The dream feels different. The more you start to pay attention to your dreams and journal about it, the more you’ll be able to tell the difference. I’ve always been a vivid dreamer and tried to pay attention to my dreams. I can now, more often than not, tell the difference between my dream types. I can tell when I’ve had a normal “processing” dream, a visitation dream, a message dream or a psychic dream. I wish there was an exact answer I could give for this, but the reality is, it just feels different. When you have a visitation dream for instance, you will just know with your whole being, that it was a real visitation.

I would like to note here that just because you have a dream with a deceased loved one in it, doesn’t automatically mean it’s a visitation dream. Sometimes our passed on loved ones simply play a sort of character in the movie that is our dream. Sometimes you may just be reliving a memory. Again, if it’s a true visitation dream, you will feel it. You will know.

♥How can you easily begin to dream journal?

Dream journaling doesn’t have to be an overwhelming thing. I’ve heard many people say they can’t dream journal because they hardly remember their dreams or maybe they don’t remember it at all. I’ve even heard people say they can’t dream journal because their dreams are too detailed and journaling would be overwhelming or too much work. I just want to say that anyone can successfully dream journal. Here are some tips on how to make the most of dream journaling.

  • Place a notebook and pen next to your bed. You will want to write in your journal as soon as you wake up. Typically, the longer we’re awake, the less details we remember of our dreams. Even if you wake up in the middle of the night, try to jot down a few things into your journal.
  • Don’t feel like you have to write a novel in order to successfully dream journal! In fact, I’ve found the best success with writing less but focusing on the key elements. Plus, who really has time each morning to devote to writing pages of dreams? Of course, if you want to write an extensive amount on your dream, then go for it! Listen to your intuition and do what feels best for you.
  • When you go to write in your journal, focus on the things that stand out to you in your dream. Jot down any symbols, colors, smells, feelings, thoughts, etc. that stand out to you. For example, for a dream I had recently, I wrote down:

  1. Black bear
  2. Forest
  3. Nostalgia
  4. Dog
  5. Friend
  6. Running
  7. Relief

Writing down key elements of your dream gives you something to go off of if you decide to interpret your dreams. Typically, the things that stand out to us in our dreams are the things we should be focusing on anyway. These are the things that have a special meaning, message or purpose.

♥How can you interpret your dreams?

Ok, so remember those key dream elements that you wrote down? Those things that really seemed to stick out for you? Those will be the things you try to interpret. I personally suggest you take a moment to think of how each of those elements makes you feel. What do each of those things mean to you? Everyone is different and not everyone will have the same feelings towards something as you do. That’s why it’s important to relate your dreams and their symbols to you. Doing this will also help you tap more into your intuition.

There are many archetypes though. Symbols and characters that just seem to be ingrained in all of our psyches. This is where dream books or dream dictionaries can come in handy. There is an app called Dream Moods that I have that is pretty fantastic, in my opinion. I have an iPhone so I’m not sure if it’s available on android. If you use an app or a dictionary, you would just look up the word for one of your key elements and go from there.

I really suggest taking a moment to think about what each dream element means to you personally before looking it up in a dream dictionary.

Once you have what each key element means, you can go back and do more extensive journaling if you so desire.

♥Are there any tools to help with dreaming and how would you use them?

There are many fun and easy tools to use to help you with dreaming! Essential oils and crystals are one of my favorite ways to help with dreaming.

Before using any oils please check with your doctor for any health restrictions. I’m not a medical doctor.

Essential Oils:

  • Sandalwood, rose and lavender are excellent at helping you relax so you can fall asleep more easily. Let’s face it, the first step to dreaming is to fall asleep 😉
  • Patchouli is good for getting into a meditative state to help you connect spiritually and can also help with lucid dreaming
  • Mugwort helps you to have more lucid dreaming (If you are pregnant, please check with your doctor before using mugwort)
  • Lavender can help you have vivid dreams
  • Frankincense can help you connect to the spiritual side while also helping you to have clear and vivid dreams
  • Rosemary can help you to not have bad dreams

How to use the oils:

Put some in a diffuser in your bedroom.
Open the bottle and take a few whiffs of the aroma.
Put a couple of drops of oil into a warm bath prior to bed.
Apply some topically (diluted if needed).

  • Clear quartz helps you have clear dreams and to recall them easier
  • Amethyst helps you to have psychic dreams while also aiding you in recalling your dreams
  • Herkimer diamonds (which are a form of quartz) help you to receive messages from spirit, angels or your higher self. Herkimer diamonds are known as the ultimate crystal for dream work.

How to use the crystals:

Easiest way to use crystals for sleep or dreaming is to sleep with the crystal under your pillow or next to your bed. You can even meditate with the crystal prior to falling asleep.

Tools To Increase Your Intuition

Looking for ways to increase your intuition and work with your third eye?

Meditating is always a great way to work on your chakras and tap into your intuition or higher power. But there are also some tools you can use, alone or included with your meditation, that can amp up your results.

Your third eye chakra is located between your eyebrows, roughly. This is the chakra responsible for your imagination and intuition. Working with this chakra can help you grow or tap into your intuition. Let’s look at some simple tools that can help jump start this process.

  • The third eye chakra color is indigo or purple. I personally see it as more of a purple or lavender color than indigo. But use your own intuition or vibe for this. Literally surrounding yourself with purple (or indigo) can help this chakra. There’s a lot of information out there about color therapy and how it affects our moods and energies. Some easy ways to surround yourself with purple would be to wear purple, put purple flowers on your desk or even use purple color glasses that can be found on Amazon. The energy of the purple color will influence your third eye chakra.
  • Amethyst! Amethyst is an incredible crystal for all sorts of things. But it’s especially beneficial for work with your third eye and tapping into that intuition. You can carry some amethyst in your pocket, wear amethyst jewelry or hold a piece during meditation. My personal favorite way to use amethyst, and the way I feel works best, is to lay down during meditation and place a piece of amethyst right on your third eye.
  • Palo santo is great for the third eye and intuition. Burning some during meditation or simply in the room you’re in will help. If you’re not a fan of incense smoke you can use palo santo oil.
  • Essential oils are an excellent way to work with your third eye and intuition. There are many oils you can use but my personal favorite to use for this purpose are lavender, jasmine and frankincense. You can either diffuse the oil during the day or during meditation, smell the scent of the oil right from the bottle or apply a bit of the oil right to your third eye. Be sure to dilute the essential oil with a carrier oil like coconut or sweet almond oil if you have sensitive skin. And of course, be careful not to get it in your eye. Another great way to use the oils is to put a couple drops into your bath water and take a cleansing meditative soak.

These are not the only ways to work with your third eye chakra or intuition but they’re some of the easiest and most accessible, in my opinion.

Which of these tools do you think you’ll use? If you already work with your third eye and intuition, what’s your favorite technique? I’d love to hear it!

Lemon and Orange Essential Oils

Let’s talk about lemons and oranges. Essential oil that is! These two oils are pretty amazing but are sometimes forgotten about for some reason. I’m going to share some magical, physical and practical ways to use these two lusciously vibrant oils.

Enfleurage Essential Oils

Citrus sinensis, Wild Orange

  • Physically this oil can aid with indigestion and coughs. Orange is a natural expectorant, which makes it good to help release that nasty phlegm. To use, simply diffuse this oil or use it as part of a hot compress on the chest.
  • This is a great oil to use for boosting confidence and self-esteem and creativity
  • Mentally this oil is very uplifting and can help when you’re feeling down. While its uplifting it also helps to soothe any tension or anger. Some people even like to keep some of this oil in the car to help with road rage.
  • Magickally this oil is good for purification and raising magickal energy. It has energy properties of the sun and fire.
  • One of my favorite ways to use this oil is to create Orange Sun Water. Set a mason jar of water out in the sun to absorb the Suns energy. Then add a few drops of the orange essential oil with the water into a spray bottle. You can then use this spray to purify your home or sacred space, infusing it with the masculine solar energy.

Citrus limonum, Lemon

  • Have dry brittle nails? Mix a couple drops of lemon essential oil with some coconut oil and run into your nails and cuticles each day.
  • Looking for a natural astringent? Mix lemon essential oil with milk. Apply with a cotton ball to your face in the morning and at night.
  • Mix a drop or two of lemon essential oil with a small cup of water to use as a chemical free mouthwash.
  • Stinky disposal? Drop some lemon essential oil into the drain.
  • Magickally, lemon essential oil embodies the properties of the moon and water. Similar to the Sun Orange Water above, you can create Lemon Moon Water. Put water in a mason jar with lid and let it sit out during the night, absorbing the moons energy. In the morning put the water and some drops of lemon essential oil into a spray bottle. You now have purification water infused with the feminine lunar energy and lemon. Great to purify or cleanse your home or sacred space.

These particular oils are from Enfleurage. Enfleurage is physically based in New York City but you can order all of their products online as well. Check out the lemon and orange farms that Enfleurage sourced from!
